Prosecute sanitation culprits – Nana Awuku
A multimedia journalist at Nhyira FM, Nana Awuku Denkyembour, has charged all assemblies, and security agencies to arrest and prosecute persons caught littering the streets and dumping refuse at unauthorized places.
“He said, Ghanaians must support the various assemblies in ensuring an attitudinal change in the quest to make Kumasi the cleanest city in Africa.
According to him, despite the government’s intervention to improve sanitation in the country, education remains critical to achieving the needed results.
“He stressed that, the issue of sanitation and waste management should be the collective responsibility of all and sundry and urged other organisations to emulate the initiative.
He explained that despite government’s effort, there is the need for behavioural change to improve sanitation in the country, urged citizen’s to desist from such behavior.
He has urged the media houses to embark on public education, information dissemination and support the initiative.
